First Snow, and Halloween

Today is Halloween, and we woke up to a thin blanket of snow which covered the grass. By this afternoon most of the snow has melted off the streets and paved surfaces, but lingers on the lawn and cold places. It made for terrible driving this morning. In particular, I had to do a second loop on a roundabout after realizing the turn off wasn’t going to work out. It’s good to get that practice in, early in the season.

This evening we’ll be turning the lights off in the house, and at least two of us will head out to do a little door knocking. Likely just a block or two. In years past we have carved pumpkins and had costumes, but it just didn’t come together for this year.
